Meet Dr. Mark C. Tingey, an experienced and skilled expert in the field of endodontics. With 17 years of practice, Dr. Tingey has performed over 25,000 root canal treatments. He is valued in the community for his expertise in performing root canal therapy and other complex endodontic procedures. Dr. Tingey spent a successful decade running his own practice in Las Vegas, Nevada before he and his family decided to look for a more family-friendly community. They chose Holland, Michigan for the quality schools and the beauty of the four seasons.

Dr. Tingey earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Southern California in 2005. Graduating first in his class, he was honored with many awards, including the esteemed Robert W. McNulty Memorial Award for achieving the highest academic standing. He furthered his education and skills during his endodontic residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Tingey's research contributions were also published in the Journal of Endodontics during this time. Prior to his dental training, he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from Brigham Young University.

Beyond his private practice, Dr. Tingey taught as an adjunct professor and clinical instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, guiding the next generation of dental professionals. He has also volunteered his time and expertise to organizations such as the Smiles for Survivors Foundation and Boys Town, providing dental treatment to those in need.

While Dr. Tingey is passionate about his work, he also enjoys various hobbies and interests outside of dentistry. You can find him reading a good book, playing his guitar, riding his horses, or cherishing moments with his wife and four children.

He is well-versed in the latest endodontic techniques, including microscopic re-treatment, microsurgery, and utilization of Cone Beam CT scan technology. Driven by a commitment to staying at the forefront of his field, he actively participates in continuing education and maintains memberships in many organizations such as the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Association of Endodontists, the Holland Zeeland Dental Society, and the Holland Spear Study Club.
