
Dr. Mark C. Tingey
Dr. Mark C. Tingey is an expert in performing root canal therapy and other complex endodontic procedures. He has been practicing for over 17 years and has performed over 25,000 root canal treatments. Originally from Las Vegas and after 10 years of owning a successful practice there, Dr. Tingey moved with his family to Holland, Michigan -- a great place to establish roots. Dr. Tingey, his wife, and their four children love the beautiful seasons and being part of the wonderful community in Western Michigan.
Dr. Tingey earned his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Southern California in 2005, graduating first in his class. He earned several awards in dental school, including the Robert W. McNulty Memorial Award for the highest academic standing in the class. He completed his Endodontic residency at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 2007, where he served as Chief Resident and published original research in the Journal of Endodontics. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Brigham Young University.
In addition to private practice, Dr. Tingey was an adjunct professor and clinical instructor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine. He also volunteered his professional time to provide treatment for both the Smiles for Survivors Foundation and Boys Town. Dr. Tingey loves his work, but also enjoys reading, playing guitar, riding his horses, and spending time with his wife and four children.
Dr. Tingey focuses on providing excellent root canal therapy care with a friendly and compassionate approach. He is skilled in the latest endodontic techniques including microscopic re-treatment, microsurgery, and utilization of the Cone Beam CT scan. He stays current in all didactic aspects of endodontics and is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Michigan Dental Association, the Michigan Association of Endodontists, the Holland Zeeland Dental Society, and the Holland Spear Study Club.
